ofcourse is just one part of it. I have to check what the real issue is, since Klaus
mentions that the instances stick around even after undeployment.

I really doubt the timeout interceptors are the cause of the problem. They are basically
the same as view interceptors, i.e. stateless and there should only be 1 set created per
EJB.
I think the real problem would be elsewhere.

I've been trying to reproduce this in a sample application with similar code to what
you posted and I don't see this leaking. Please provide a sample application which
reproduces this, when you can. Also, is this is a clean AS installation or have you done
any changes to it?

I still can't reproduce a leak here. I tested the attached application against current
upstream:
1) Deployed the application
2) Ran the remote client which triggers entity bean instance creation (around 90K)
3) Undeployed the application after the client finished
Monitored this entire run using JProfiler and after the undeployment, I don't see any
references being held to org.jboss.invocation.Interceptor or any other related classes for
the application.
Are you sure the instances stick around after undeploying the application? Can you take a
JProfiler snapshot after the application undeployment and attach it here?
By the way, I've attached the Maven version of your project, if anyone else wants to
test it, outside of an IDE. Here's how you run it:
1) mvn clean install
2) Start the server and cp target/JCTest.jar JBOSS_HOME/standalone/deployments
3) mvn exec:exec

Yes, you are right. When I undeploy the application they go away. I was to quick. There is
a certain delay until the GC can remove them.
But this does *not* solve our problem: As long as I use the application, the number of
Interceptor[] arrays grows. Even if I read the same beans over and over again. And while
the application is deployed, the GC cannot remove them.
Try this:
- Execute the application several times
- Watch the heap usage
- Perform a GC
- Take a heap dump
