Paul Ferraro reopened AS7-1365:
-------------------------------
Remy,
Thinking about this more, relying on the mod_cluster subsystem to generate the jvm route
won't work. The jvm-route is only generated once an AS instance makes contact with an
httpd server. If the user is only using mod_jk or mod_proxy with mod_proxy_balancer, they
probably won't have the requite mod_cluster modules installed, so the AS node would
never make contact with the httpd server in the first place. Consequently, no jvm-route
will ever be auto-generated.
So, I'm going to go ahead and re-open this jira. :)
Second, even if the jvm-route auto-generation were to happen, the jvm-route is available
from any subsystem model, and cannot be queried via any management mechanism (other than
jmx, but I don't think that's sufficient).
Add configurable jvm-route to web subsystem to support mod_jk and
mod_proxy.
