Each 'front' (tomcat) and 'back' (jboss) lives as a pair on a single machine. The idea is: have the 'front' always contact the local (preferred) 'back' ... and only contact one of the other jboss instances (other boxex) if the local one is not available. Attached is proposed code that accomplishes this
