There are a couple issues with this: * The autogenerated jvm-routes are UUIDs. While the generated values are indeed consistent (i.e. not random), they aren't really known until the server starts. Since mod_jk/mod_proxy needs to define these explicitly (e.g. in workers.properties), this becomes a little awkward to setup. * mod_jk/mod_proxy users may not realize that they need the mod_cluster subsystem for jvm-route autogeneration (it's not obvious).
