I'm asking about LDAP because I know that in MSAD you authenticate providing
DOMAINNAME\USERNAME which doesn't mean that user entry looks like that.
Thomas. So you are saying that portal DB configuration doesn't handle properly user
names that contain backslashes?
Cannot change roles of user names containing a backslash character

Key: JBPORTAL-1732
URL:
http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBPORTAL-1732
Project: JBoss Portal
Issue Type: Bug
Security Level: Public(Everyone can see)
Components: Portal Identity
Affects Versions: 2.6.2 Final
Environment: Any
Reporter: Luc Boudreau
Assigned To: Boleslaw Dawidowicz
Fix For: 2.6.3 Final
In our LDAP directory, the usernames are prefixed with the domain name followed by a
backslash followed by the username.
ie. DOMAIN\username
I get the following error while changing the roles of such a user. Clearly, the backslash
is interpreted as-is ans creates an escaped character.
