Why?
As spec lead, we are the maintainer and guardians of javax.validation, why would we want
to duplicate this work?
Is there a way to create a "pom redirect" from your description to
<dependency>
<groupId>javax.validation</groupId>
<artifactId>validation-api</artifactId>
<version>1.0.0.GA</version>
</dependency>
Again, we are the one building the javax.validation:validation-api artifacts
