Doesn't matter which LDAP I'm using, the user record is properly synchrinized with
the database.
Just for the info, we are not using LDAP directly, we are using a custom CAS server which

In our LDAP directory, the usernames are prefixed with the domain name followed by a
backslash followed by the username.
ie. DOMAIN\username
I get the following error while changing the roles of such a user. Clearly, the backslash
is interpreted as-is ans creates an escaped character.
