A couple concepts: 1) A general jboss-web.xml flag. If set, tests any attribute for serializability before replicating; if not serializable don't include it in the serialized form. 2) A jboss-web.xml block where specific attribute names could be listed for exclusion. Marking this JIRA as "No Release" as I'm adding it to record an idea that came up as a tangent in a support case discussion. Not on any short-term roadmap unless someone in the community expresses interest in exploring the idea and implementing it.
