----------------------------------
Resolution: Done
You can find it as ConnectionFactoryService.SERVICE_NAME_BASE.append(jndi)
IOW it is "jboss.connector.connection-fafactory.<jndi-name>
Resouce adapter connection factory as service
---------------------------------------------
Key: AS7-1950
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/AS7-1950
Project: Application Server 7
Issue Type: Enhancement
Components: JCA
Reporter: Ramesh Reddy
Assignee: Stefano Maestri
Fix For: 7.1.0.CR1
Currently "connection-factories" are bound to a JNDI name, however they are not
deployed as services[1]. Please note that a data-source is bound and deployed as service.
Also, user *MUST* be able to deploy multiple connection factories under a single resource
adapter[2], both by editing the configuration file (standalone.xml, domain.xml) and using
CLI[3].
[1]In Teiid a virtual database (VDB) depends on both data-sources and resource
adapter's connection-factories to integrate the data. A VDB is deployed as a service,
and this service is depends upon availability of data sources and connection factories.
With out "connection factories" available as services there is no clean way I
can tie in lifecycle of VDB with just with JNDI names.
[2]In Teiid a given resource adapter can more than one connection like reading data from
two different files
[3]All data sources/connection factories needs to created using management api
