Note: this worked in JBoss 4.2. It was a useful means of controlling transaction
boundaries without resorting to bean-managed transactions (by having non-transactional
methods exposed by one interface call transactional methods exposed by a different
interface, but all implemented by the same bean/service (because maybe both functions need
access to some internal shared state).

In 4.2 SFSB session associated happens on first invoke, but it really should be happening
on lookup ( EJBTHREE-697 ). This ensures that propagation of security, tx and persistence
contexts happen properly.
So it's not really a cyclic dependency to inject a SFSB in itself, but more a stack
overflow.
If you want to control transaction boundaries within a SFSB either use BMT (which
doesn't allow for interaction with incoming transactions) or use
ctx.getBusinessObject(..) to get a transactional reference.

Well Lukas, this is not an acceptable workaround for a lot of people (including me): I
don't want to create a dependency (sic) between my EJB3 standard code and the JBoss
org.jboss.annotation.IgnoreDependency annotation.
Imagine I want to deploy my ejb-jar in many different AS, should I have many versions of
my code?
