The assembly config is currently in a profile, so you have to call "mvn -Passembly install" for it to run. Should this to run by default for each build? The src assembly looks ok to me as is, it's just a zip of the whole project minus the target directories. Just let me know if there are some others that need the same setup. The configuration is pretty straight forward. The "build" directory contains a pom that lists each of the modules as dependencies, this allows the assembly plugin to pull in each module jar (and optionally it's transitive dependencies) as a dependency set.
