is there a reason we can't house those javadoc resources inside the AS javadoc
aggregate project, rather than attempting to deal with file collisions during
dependency-source aggregation?
At least then we could be more explicit WRT which resources are used, and which are not. I
would think file collisions would be common in this case.

I'm referring to JavaDoc resources like diagrams, source code snippets etc. which are
part of the actual project documentation. Global things like CSS and related look/feel
assets would need to be excluded from individual projects, if present. This does add
another layer of complexity.

Ideally, there would be separate source directories for global assets versus supplementary
HTML/images. Only the latter would be included in source JARs. Javadoc JARs would
include the former as well.
