[EJB 3.0] - Using enviroment variables in persistence.xml

Hi all, I would like to use an environment variable in my persistence.xml for determining the database dialect and username dynamically. Currently I'm using a simple string but when other wants to run it, he should change it. I want to avoid it by taking it dynamically using an environmet variable. Does anybody know how to do this? OK I have found a solution! The deadlocking seems to be caused by this bug: https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBAS-5801 As JBoss AS 4.2.4.GA is not available yet, I manually backported the fixes from the 4.2.4.GA branch into my JBoss 4.2.3.GA sources (building and updating the jms-ra.rar and jboss-xa-jdbc.rar archives accordingly): http://fisheye.jboss.org/changelog/JBossAS/?cs=76314 This seems to have fixed the IllegalMonitorStateException problem and has stopped my MDBs from deadlocking. We are now looking forward to an official JBoss 4.2.4.GA release so we don't have to ship with a patched server... There's a hot deployment scanner which looks for the last modified time of the deployment archive or the top level deployment descriptor to decide whether the application needs to be redeployed. Are you doing any changes to the files deployed in the deploy folder of JBoss? I guess you are using an incorrect jndi name for the bean lookup. Use the jmx-console to view the JNDI tree http://www.jboss.org/community/docs/DOC-9583 and then see to what jndi-name, your bean is bound. Then in your code use that jndi-name for lookup. [Clustering/JBoss] - how to share file system folder accoss Jboss Application Ins

Dear all I am going to deploy my application on Jboss Application Clustering. My application stores and access data in a folder. I don't know how to make sure that all Instances use the same data when I run it on Clustering Environment. what are the causes that makes an application to reload? I am using jboss-4.0.1sp1 version to deploy my application. But the application gets reloaded very often and it throws Null Pointer exception.
