Hi.
I want to profile a web application running on JBoss with Eclipse and TPTP.
I start the server in profiling mode, a new Profile On Server window is displayed but a Problem occured :
An internal error occurred during: "Fetching children of data collector". java.lang.NullPointerException
Then I can't configure the Profile Settings and must close the Profile On Server window.

Hi.
I want to know how can i solve the SOAPFaultException error that jboss send when a valid user try to access to a role that do not belong to it.
Example of code exception with a C# client

If my C# client have invalid user or password, jboss sends a message telling that.
If my C# client hava valid user a password, jboss throws an exception in methods that are not allowed to my user role.
My user have role "ws" and if i call method echoForAdministrator or echoForNobody or echoForManageUsers I got an exception that starts like this:

In C# i got an exception that is ok, the user are not allowed to use this method, but why jboss receive an error exception from soap?
Can I do something to eliminate this exception?

For unit testing, I need to start NamingBeanImpl as a standalone service (without starting my container - JBoss AS 5.1.0.GA). I cannot get it to work on my Mac OSX 10.6.4.
Specifically, I'm trying to implement unit tests (TestNG) with HornetQ standalone with Spring, and have followed various tutorials.

I cannot get org.jnp.server.NamingBeanImpl to start. Gives me:
Caused by: javax.naming.CommunicationException: Failed to connect to server /127.0.0.1:1099 [Root exception is javax.naming.ServiceUnavailableException: Failed to connect to server /127.0.0.1:1099 [Root exception is java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused]]
However, if JBoss is running in a separate JVM, then I have no problems starting NamingBeanImpl
I have this in Spring:
<bean name="namingServerImpl" class="org.jnp.server.NamingBeanImpl"
init-method="start" destroy-method="stop"/>
I've also tried a basic test like this:
NamingBeanImpl jnpServer = new NamingBeanImpl();
jnpServer.start();
Again, when JBoss is running elsewhere, it works. Otherwise, I get the "Connection Refused" exception.
JNDI is set up with jndi.properties -
java.naming.factory.initial=org.jnp.interfaces.NamingContextFactory
java.naming.factory.url.pkgs=org.jboss.naming:org.jnp.interfaces
java.naming.provider.url=jnp://127.0.0.1:1099
I've also tried starting the rmiregistry in a separate JVM. (Since I seem to recall that sometimes on OS X, this is necessary). Then the NamingBeanImpl hangs. Do I also need to start something else on port 1098?
Any help would be much appreciated!!

Hello,
I'm rather new on JBoss and I saw momething that i identified as a strange behaviour for JBoss ... and perhaps a malfunction.
JBoss is consuming when i follow the activeThreadCount an increasing number of threads hence i have no longer any activity in the JVM.
For example, i have an activity in the morning then at lunch, no one is working, and the number of threads is not going down. When the activity restart, the number of threads is raising.
I checked the JDBC connection pool and i have only the minimum pool settings that is connected to Oracle (15 connections . i checked them using lsof)
I issued the "kill -3 " command and i had 1850 threads and 1600 threads were RequestProcessor threads. I've no idea of what could be these kind of threads and why they are so numberous.
Could you help me and tell me if it is a corrct behaviour and tell me also where i should dig to remove this problem is it is ?
JBoss 4.2 - AIX - JDK 6 SR7 - Only EJB inside this instance, jdbc connection pool.
