In my previous discussion I had discussed about error related to time out. I tried to investigate and found few things which I would like to put down. I did a simple thing I replaced my authentication url http://localhost:8080/gwt-console-server/rs/process/j_security_check http://localhost:8080/gwt-console-server/rs/process/j_security_check with the url ->    http://localhost:8080/gwt-console-server/rs/identity/secure/sid http://localhost:8080/gwt-console-server/rs/identity/secure/sid  and it did not gave any time out error ,but the response was a blank string which was the same as in case of the code which Chris showed .
