I haven't used Seam, but if you use the method described in

then, as said by Tomcat here

this directory is like any other context you can deploy within the "predefined"
in JBoss, so you can put WEB-INF/web.xml files there for authentication and so. If you
need to use the same users for both web-apps (the one you developed and repo) you will
need to either use single-sign-on
