I think this could potentially become a "Seam GWT integration" chapter in the Seam reference doc. However, before we start to mess with the Seam official docs (and have Gavin yell at us), perhaps you can write it up like an article? You can discuss why it is a challenge to integrate JSF/Seam with GWT and how it is done in your solution. This way, you can use whatever editor you are comfortable with. If we decide to include it in the official docs, I can help you with the docbook conversion. Quick question for Pete and Michael: Any tips on docbook authoring? It looks like doing some quick docbook documentation might be the fastest way to both enhance this example for Seam, and to explain to Michael how it works so he can present it at JavaOne :-) What's the fastest way to spin up on docbook? Should I snarf the documentation build targets out of the Seam distribution? Are there any recommended authoring tools? Any clues you can give will shave a couple of hours off my learning curve, which given my available time could double or triple the amount of documentation I can do by JavaOne.... Thanks! There was an OutOfMemory error on our server during the same period. Hope this could be the culprit here (see below). We're also making sure we're on SP4 right now (we should be). I'm still attempting to determine how often or even if we ever set the Exception Listener. [JBoss Getting Started Documentation] - security service instructions in Getting Started documentati

When installing with jems-installer-1.2.0.GA.jar and selecting a standard installation a section is missing in the web.xml file for the jmx-console.war application that causes problems when following the directions given in the getting started documentation. The web.xml file is missing the login-config section: <login-config> <auth-method>BASIC</auth-method> <realm-name>JBoss JMX Console</realm-name> </login-config> Without it, following the instructions in section 2.2.3 will fail with a 403 error and no authentication prompt. [JBoss Messaging] - Destination discrepancy

I noticed that the default destinations provided as part of the JBossAS 5.0 beta2 are not the same are the default destinations provide by the JBoss Messaging 1.2 binary download. Is there any plan to make those the same? I know that one should really come up with one's own destinations, but the default destinations provided by JBM 1.2 come in handy when doing a quick-and-dirty application. Seam's power is such that you're able to directly expose EntityHome objects in the view and use pages.xml to wire it all together, and even provide security. However, if you prefer to do things in code, just think of EntityHome as an implementation of the "Generic DAO" pattern that plays nice with SMPC's -- because that's all it really is. I find it's impossible to have even reasonably complex views without a backing session bean anyway, so I much prefer to have all CRUD actions go through the session bean that simply injects the EntityHome itself. It appears that you have JAVA_HOME set to the JVM that comes with your Linux distro. That will not work. You need to use a JVM from Sun.
