[JBoss Seam] - Trinidad 1.0.0, Seam and JBoss 4.0.5
by stephen.friedrich
Is there any way to make this work?
After twiddling with project setup for several hours and googling for solutions I am pretty much frustrated.
I am deploying as an ear. Where should I put myfaces and trinidad jars?
Seems I can only pick which exception I'd like to get:
only trinidad jars in WEB-INF/lib - myfaces jars deployed from default location in JBoss server's jbossweb-tomcat55.sar
or trinidad and myfaces in the ear, referenced via manifest from web module

I am trying to clean up a JSF/Seam application that was some developers first try at using JSF at all.
So I figured I start by upgrading components of it to current releases.
Seam update from 1.0.1 to 1.2.1 was very easy:
The app was running fine after that with ADF Faces.
Now I am trying to update from ADF Faces to Trinidad. Adjusting all the changed tags and attributes was a little tedious, but straightforward.
Right now I am absolutely stuck. I'd be immensely grateful for any help!

[JBoss Messaging] - ClassCastException when using RoundRobinRouterFactory
by hbentel
Hi
I've got JBM 1.2.0.sp1 running in JBoss AS 4.2.0.CR2
I've setup a 2-node cluster and all the JBM examples runs fine, including the cluster ones.
Now I'm trying to set up round robin routing using the instructions at
http://labs.jboss.com/file-access/default/members/jbossmessaging/freezone...
But when the server starts up I get a ClassCastException (stacktrace below)
The only configuration I changed to enable round robin was setting the ClusterRouterFactory attribute for the ClusteredPostOfficeService, per the instructions.
I'm guess I'm missing some configuration.
hope someone can help

[JBoss jBPM] - suspend-resume() Method with problems
by javi0704
HiGuys , i tried to develop jbpm with some rules (drools). I use just start-state, task-node, (task with action-ActionHandler variables) and end-state.
So my problem is:
suppose a user give a value for one varable this will be controll by the drool
For example variableName is "value" So the drool-rule condition controlls if value>10 then Condition is ok the process will continue,
when not ok==>Drools(in Consequence) this Task-Node must wait, block or lock till the value variable is correct that means till value>10
I tried this with the Method: to block the Task-node processInstance.suspend() also processInstance.wait()
and to unblock the Task-Node processInstance.resume() also processInstance.signal()but it doesn't work.
please help me with this problem
with kind regards

[JBoss Seam] - Does s:fileUpload work with trinidad?
by gena777
Hello all
i'm using s:fileUpload as a replacement of trinidad upload tag as described by the seam docs and example. Since two weeks i've got a recent implementation of trinidad and tried to use it. It works so far but the s:fileUpload doesn't work correct anymore. I'm not sure, if the problem presents since i've enabled trinidad again or because of Seam-updates?
If i try to debug, i can see the Seam proceeding a multi part request. On some filtering stage, i see the correct size and content type of my file. But in my backing bean i'm getting empty values instead. In the filter chain i saw the upload multi part request wrapper from trinidad and i think, it could be a problem.
I use:
1. fresh Seam from CVS
2. JBoss 4.2.0 cr2
3. JSF 1.2 ri
4. trinidad 1.2 (recent build)
The page and backing bean code are similar to seam examples and did work till 2 weeks ago.
Thanks, Gena

[JBoss Portal] - Can JBoss do it?
by drjonesac2
Hello All,
I have recently been saddled with the task of making a servlet application designed for Tomcat work in a JBoss portlet. I have successfully created a portlet for the application and it works as long as I don't try to use any of the previous servlet code. My major problem is the NoClassDefFoundError I get when trying to use reflection in the old code. The second part of my problem is the code we are using requires access from the browser to a servlet to process ajax requests. (I haven't even begun to tackle that one).
So the first problem. The portlet is a .war file with a basic structure. It has a WEB-INF/lib folder that I put the prior apps .jar file into. I have one class that creates the portlet. All is happy. The portlet uses this doView method:
| protected void doView(RenderRequest request, RenderResponse response) throws PortletException, PortletSecurityException, IOException
| {
| response.setContentType("text/html");
| PrintWriter writer = response.getWriter();
| try{
| PortletRequestDispatcher prd = this.getPortletContext().getRequestDispatcher("/app");
| prd.include(request, response);
| }
| catch(Exception e){
| writer.print("Error Writing Widget:"+e.getStackTrace());
| }
| writer.close();
| }
|
app is declared in my web.xml and the portlet gets there no problem. The issue is there is a bit of reflection used in a class that the servlet calls. There is where it poops out and I get the NoClassDefFoundError on a class I know exists in the prior app .jar file.
The googling around I have done suggests it probably has something to do with the way JBoss does class loading but I am at a loss to try and figure out what I need to change to get this to work. If anyone out there has run into a similar situation where reflection wont work inside of a portlet .war file please post your comments.
On the second issue, how do I access a servlet URL from a browser in a portlet?
Thanks in advance.
