I was able to reproduce this on my local JBoss-4.2.2 setup and even able to get it working after knowing what was going wrong (atleast in my case).
Steps to reproduce this exception:
1) Start with this guide http://docs.jboss.org/ejb3/app-server/reference/build/reference/en/html/t.... I guess, everyone in this thread too has followed the same.
2) My SLSB looks like this:

I then downloaded the JBossRemoting source code and a bit of debugging and modification to the code (to print out the exception) showed exactly what was going wrong. I changed the ClientSocketWrapper to catch and print out the exception:

This exception provides enough clues.
How to fix this:
Pass the truststore file and truststore password -Djavax.net.ssl.trustStore and -Djavax.net.ssl.trustStorePassword arguments when running the standalone client:

That's it. With these arguments passed to the client, i got my expected output without any exceptions.
The whole confusion is because of the original exception stacktrace not being clear enough.

[Javassist user questions] - how to annotate a field

Firstly hello everybody!
I am very new to javassist and am trying to write a class / function, which implements an interface which is passed to it.
So its something like
MyInterfac p = ImplFactory.implement(MyInterface.class);
What i need is to annotate the field of the implemented class with annotations, which i have read from the interface.
Bsp.:
Interface:
public interface PersonTestInterface {
public static final String foaf = "http://xmlns.com/foaf/0.1/";
@rdf(foaf+"surname") <-----take this
public Collection getSurnames();
}
should be implemented as:
public class PersonTestInterfaceImpl
implements PersonTestInterface

public Collection getSurnames()

}
}
Could someone help me and tell how to create the annotations on the fields? The easiest way would be somethink to "copy" the annotations.

Thats good to know, i know you can set a max number of nodes on this but can you set a minimum? I have the scenario where if it goes past a certain time i.e its stale then ask data source for data however if data source is not available then use stale data. So does the expiration policy keep a minimum amount of stale data or will it purge all data that has gone past the expiration time?
Now to get back to the main point, why it doesnt make sense to run CCL in LOCALMODE. Just referring back to the example given and the comment

That really a case if you cared about the state of data between the nodes. For my application, what defines whether to use the value, is the time duration. So I dont care what the value/state is as long as its not older than X mins old. If is older than Xmins old then a new value is retrieved.
I do see that it breaks the concept of what a cache loader is if you were allowed to use CCL in LOCAL mode but i do think there is a need to have something like CCL in local mode.
