Hi Victor,
The fact that this message is logged at DEBUG level is meant to indicate that it's not a significant concern. However, I can see dialing it down to TRACE level: JBREM-1085 "Reduce log level of ServerSocketWrapper.close() log messages" (https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBREM-1085).

OK, I have fixed the classloader issues and my ear now deploys. Now the JUnit tests are failing with a transaction error that I do not understand. I have searched the forums for this message and saw a few mentions, but nothing relevant to this case.

Hello there...
I would like to know if is it possible to setup a DailyRollingFileAppender to create at maximum 10 files, i mean, i would like to create daily logs for the last 10 days, do not matter the file's size.
I know that RollingFileAppender does something like that, that is, limit the number of files, but i was not able to do the same with DailyRollingFileAppender .

I am trying to run jBoss 4.0.5 for the first time with Oracle 10g. I seem to get the Connection alright:

[Performance Tuning] - JBOSS not loaded

I have a query on is there something as JBOSS is not started properly? I have heard things like not being able to log in to the application because JBOSS is not started properly as JBOSS is used in our application.
If, there is a problem of JBOSS not started properly, how to check it. Normally, we check for JBOSS started by seeing in the log $JBOSS_HOME/server/default/jboss.log for something like 'Started in....'.
I hope, my question is clear.
Please, help in solving the doubt.

[Installation, Configuration & DEPLOYMENT] - properties file not deployed in WAR

I have a problem with our properties files.
Changes in the files are not deployed when I restart the server. It works for my .ear projects (when the properties files are in a jar) but not in the web project (WAR file). I have tried to put the properties file under WEB-INF/classes and also tried directly in the WAR file root but the only way to update the file is to delete the entire jboss catalog and reinstalling it! The old properties file is deployed somewhere in jboss memory. I have tried to stop jboss and remove everything under work and tmp and removed the war file from deploy. When the server is started again the application is still running. I use jboss application server 4.2.3.
How do I force jboss to redeploy the file?

After starting both application servers sending and receiving messages works fine for a while. After several hours of service the MDB stops receiving messages. We can see the messages in the messaging tables JBM_MSG and JBM_MSG_REF of the database (hence sending works), but the MDB shows no reaction. No error messages in the log files on both sides. We must stop and restart the MDB using JMX console. Sometimes we must restart the queue in order to get messaging working.
