[Installation, Configuration & Deployment] - ERROR [AjpMessage] Invalid message recieved with signature 1

Hopefully I found the correct sub-forum in which to post my question (there were a ton of them, forums, that is). I have only one question, and that is I need some assistance in trying to figure out how to troubleshoot a problem. I inherited a jboss application and have followed the directions provided to me. I have apache running on port 80 just fine. I have jboss-4.2.3.GA-jdk6 installed and running on port 8080. I can compile and deploy my web application via "ant ear" just fine. I start jboss, and everything _looks_ fine. I can provide my output and the log if needed (I just didn't want to flood the forum with this if it wasn't necessary. When I browse to http://localhost:8009/myproj, the browser seems to just sit and try to load the thing. The output from jboss shows: ERROR [AjpMessage] Invalid message recieved with signature 18245 I am not sure even where to start looking. Can anyone help? [JBoss Messaging Users] - JBoss 4.2.3 GA, JBoss Messaging 1.4.2 SP1 GA and Worker Thre

I will appreciate any insight regarding the behavior observed with JBoss 4.2.3 GA, JBoss Messaging and Worker Threads. The JBoss 4.2.3 GA is running on Windows XP (SP 3) and uses jdk1.6.0_12. The server is configured to use JBoss Messaging jboss-messaging-1.4.2.GA-SP1 (instead of JBoss MQ provided with JBoss 4.2.3 GA). Two mbean sections in jboss-service.xml were modified | to configure limited number of threads in the pool | 1. org.jboss.invocation.pooled.server.PooledInvoker | MaxPoolSize=15 | ClientMaxPoolSize=15 | SocketTimeout=60 | | 2. org.jboss.remoting.transport.Connector (Configuration subsection) | maxPoolSize=15 | clientMaxPoolSize=15 | socketTimeout=60 The Topic example supplied with the jboss-messaging-1.4.2.GA-SP1 examples directory was modified to simulate a client that is doing some work. A call to Thread.sleep() for 120 seconds was added just before releasing resources (i.e. before closing the InitialContext and connection in the finally block). Threads were monitored using jvisualvm (provided by the JDK). After starting the JBoss server there were 57 live threads, 35 daemon threads, there were no Worker Threads. To simulate multiple clients publishing to a Topic and listening for replies; 25 instances of the Topic example were started in quick succession. The live thread count on the JBoss server went up to 136 of which 49 were Worker Threads (in running state). After all the clients completed their sleep time (120 seconds) the client JVMs exited. At this point the JBoss server showed 106 live threads, 35 daemon threads. There were 49 Worker Threads in waiting state. All Worker threads remained in memory (in waiting state) even after an hour had passed with no activity (no requests) on the server. Is it ok to expect that some Worker threads are closed by the server bringing down the live threads count due to inactivity for an hour? Are there any parameters in JBoss that need to be changed to maintain the desired number of Worker Threads after a period of inactivity? As far as I understood async forks will be executed in different threads. For each activity after the fork a job will be created by the JobExecutor which maintains a pool of threads to execute jobs. However I am not sure if I understood your question correctly. [jBPM Users] - Newbie: executing forked paths in parallel

Hi, I am looking at JBPM as a candidate workflow engine. My current understanding is that if I fork a path of execution into multiple concurrent paths, all of them will be executed in one thread (for each path: until it reaches the join node or a wait state) - sequentially. I need to understand what are my options if I want to execute them in parallel - i.e. in multiple threads (I can bring my own pool for the purpose). My usecase is: I need to execute lots of (independent) queries against (multiple) databases with varying (sometimes bad) response time, while keeping the runtime very low and the workflow definition readable by a Business Analyst. If a place the hibernate.cfg.xml file in a conf folder, how I have to do to JBoss reads the file? hibernate.cfg.xml is just a file where I set the database and the schema I am using.
