Hi
I have an EAR which is working fine in Jboss 4.2.3.
Please find the Classloading settings and EAR structure for Jboss 4.2.3 below
1) This Ear contains 2 WAR(assume warone, wartwo). All the jar files are located under EAR folder. There is no Jars under WAR/lib folder for both the wars.
2) Both the WAR's MANIFEST.MF file contains reference to jars.
3) warone's jboss-web.xml file contains below entry
<class-loading java2ClassLoadingCompliance="false">
<loader-repository>
warone:archive=warone.war
<loader-repository-config>java2ParentDelegation=false</loader-repository-config>
</loader-repository>
</class-loading>
4) wartwo's jboss-web.xml file contains below entry
<class-loading java2ClassLoadingCompliance="false">
<loader-repository>
wartwo:archive=wartwo.war
<loader-repository-config>java2ParentDelegation=false</loader-repository-config>
</loader-repository>

5) there is no EAR class loading setting for Jboss 4.2.3

This config log all into all files, thats not what you try to do.
Add:
<category name="x.y.z"> <==== your package or log-category
<priority value="TRACE" />
<appender-ref ref="ABCWAR"/>
</category>
This should be before the <root> and remove the appender-ref from root, thats it.
If you want to have the JBoss classes in your logfile then you have to add a filter to the FILE appender that have AcceptOnMatch=false.
But this will be a performance and lock contention issue.
The reason is that the category is checked before the log statement is executed.
The appender filter is inside the file-write-sync-block and you will have locking contention in case of high traffic!
So if you only want to have a business logging of your app use the category.
In case of analyzing problems I would recommend to add the FILE appender to your category and use the server.log for this.

Hi,
I encounter the same problem too.
My scenario is 20 concurrent users accessing the same block of code.
Here's the snapshot of the source code:
Execution execution = execService.findExecutionById(processInstanceId);
ProcessInstance rootInstance = getRootProcessInstance(execution);
String rootInstanceId = rootInstance.getId();
execution = execService.signalExecutionById(processInstanceId, variables);
boolean rootExecutionCompleted = null == execService.findExecutionById(rootInstanceId);
It's run under Microsoft Windows XP SP2, SQL Server 2008, JBPM4, and Hibernate 3.3.2
Currently, I'm wondering whether above piece of code is the source of the problem or something else.

Hello,
I am working with JBoss AS 7.1-Final using Drools 5.3 and jBPM 5.2. I to create an ejb that creates StatefulKnowledgeSessions and persist them using the JPAKnowledgeService. I've gone through the examples and persisted KnowlegeSessions from a standalone app, but I'm unsure how to make the TransactionManager work inside an EJB. I have tried to Instantiate the PoolDataSource from Bitronix... it appears to instantiate properly, but things blow up when trying to create the EntityManagerFactory.
I have attached my source code. Can someone take a look at this and give any insights possible? Is there something wrong with the use of Bitronix as the transaction manager inside an EJB?
