Hello everyone!
I am about to start implementing JCR persistence for jBPM 5.4. I know where to start for the process runtime (SessionInfo, ProcessInstanceInfo, WorkItemInfo) - the http://locademiaz.wordpress.com/2011/02/07/drools-persistence-on-top-of-h... http://locademiaz.wordpress.com/2011/02/07/drools-persistence-on-top-of-h... blogpost is very useful.
But when I look at the Human Task persistence, it seems I will have to proxy EntityManager and EntityManagerFactory, because all the persistence code works with them.
Or has anyone a better idea?

[jBPM] - jbpm 5.4.0 - NullPointerException completing workItem when using Spring local transactions and shared entity manager.

I decided to give it a try to Spring local transactions and shared entity manager, so I changed my configuration as per user guide v5.4.
I tested with a fairly simple business process with an asynchronous workItem that get completed after certain amount of time by a different thread.
Everything went well until the scheduled timer tried to complete the workItem by calling:
ksession.getWorkItemManager().completeWorkItem(workItemId, resultMap);
By executing this line, I am getting this exception:

The passed workItemId is correct (the expected one).
The same test runs successfully when configuring for JTA transaction management. Should I create a Jira issue for this?

Im using: Jboss 7.1.1, Hibernate 3.6.9, Spring 3.0.1.
Currently I have following configuration which works great (but user want to switch from 'org.springframework.orm.jpa.JpaTransactionManager' to jboss transaction management):
