Well, depends where you are getting the TaskInstance from. If the task instance is associated with the conversation, you can call TaskInstance.instance().setActorId(). Or, if you are using the Seam pooled task list, you can use the built-in PooledTask component. Or if you get the TaskInstance direct from jBPM, just call TaskInstance.setActorId().
