One more thing. I sent 4 messages to my local queue and all seemed to disappear. I then stopped my bridge. The messages could then be seen using the jmx-console. I restarted my bridge and the messages are were longer visible from the jmx-console. I stopped the bridge and they reappeared. Go figure.
