Hi Mohammed.
This is actually two seperate issues;
Linux Java install;
JBoss startup.
I suspect I know what this Linux issue is, not sure what the JBoss issue
is. For the Linux item;
1) gorky@sda64:~> which java
My system responds with;
/usr/bin/java
2) gorky@sda64:~> ls -l /usr/bin/java
My system responds with;
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 22 2008-03-31 20:42 /usr/bin/java ->
/etc/alternatives/java
Note the "alternatives" in that link directory, this is important. It
means that I have something called the "alternatives" package installed.
This is the linux people being "cute", and trying to allow multiple
versions of various software (including Java).
If this is the issue, I can send you some links, and some additional
info on how to handle.
Somebody else will have to help with the JBoss issue (sorry).

But after install JDK5 update 16 , when I type in terminal “java
-version” the answer is
java version "1.6.0"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0-b09)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 1.6.0-b09, mixed mode)
but I don't know if the JDK5 update 16 is installed correctly or no, How
I can know that it, by mean is there command line or tools to be sure
from the installation JDK5 update 16
Then,
I start to run jboss-4.2.0.GA but the error came, it is:
