No, JDK 6 is not officially supported for 4.0.x. See
http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/JBossVsJavaJDKVersionMatrix.

But if it works for your, use it. It's just if you need support, then you'll be
asked to replicate the issue on JDK 5.
