The exception was removed when I used, <property name="hibernate.transaction.manager_lookup_class">      org.hibernate.transaction.WeblogicTransactionManagerLookup </property> instead of <property name="hibernate.transaction.factory_class">      org.hibernate.transaction.CMTTransactionFactory </property> in jbpm.hibernate***.xml.
