Yes, this is possible, but jBPM does not have a webservice node in it's palet. You can easily generate the stubs with every ws framework you want to use and use that as a custom action. This might (will) change in the future though since jBPM is also working on a BPMN2 compliant engine and that requires calling ws by configuring the endpoint, incoming and outgoing message like in bpel.
