Hi there, This attribute is not part of standard portlet.xml. If you saw this it was a proprietary portal container, not a standard java ee portlet container. But the standard portlet API defines APPLICATION_SCOPE portlet session attributes, which are visible to all portlets packaged as part of the same WAR. Maybe this is enough for your needs.
