We are currently adding simulation and replay capabilities within the jBPM Designer which is related to this as well. The demo for the Keynote is a live monitor implementation that we have not checked into Designer yet as it was somewhat targeted for the demo environment and not generic use yet. If you are willing to help us with some of the coding of making this a generic features that would be great for the community. Let me know and I'll help you get started (best to ping me on IRC).
