Guys, I do not seem to be able to find an anonymous SVN repo. http://anonsvn.jboss.org/repos does not contain anything. Besides that I cannot login to the dev svn at all... CVS empty.... [Design of JBoss jBPM] - New extended WebService code

I can't commit the new and improved code in modules/jpdl/ws/src/main/java/org/jbpm/command/ws, i have developed this code with more and improved methods to use the Web Services to interact with the Command Interface. If you don't want to modify the actual implementation i can commit it to a new ws2 package. I have rights to the Project PVM but i can't commit to modules/jpdl/ws/src/main/java/org/jbpm/command/ws.. can any one tell me how can I commit my code? Joram is correct. In the demo system we have the way process are started is also done by a kind of PAO. Passing metadata to the engine is generic, but the way it should be used while instantiating a process differs a lot between systems. This is true from the engine point of view, but for many of my projects the engine is not my entry point. If you can remember, this is something I showed in Dublin with the 'process access object - PAO'. Normally I have an interface which defines operations on the engine. All the clients that use this interface will set the same process variables. Off course, that's my (main) usage of jBPM, but I see many people do the same thing. The point is, that metadata that apply may Executions should be externalized a separate document. In J2EE you find this in the various deployment descriptors. Thomas, I don't agree fully with the example. The process definition is static. At runtime, instances are created from this definition (ie. class-object relation). If I need metadata, I put process variables on the instance before starting the process. Regional managers can then be picked based upon these variables. Changing this concept is bound to break some older implementations and is something that must be well-thought about before changing it... An Execution is a specific execution of a process. There is however the notion of ProcessDefinition plus an associated set of meta data. For example an organization has a defined process for 'Order Processing' However, Order Processing is slightly different per region (i.e. different regional managers) It would be incorrect to force a duplication of the ProcessDefinition per region.
