Pete Muir commented on JBSEAM-1169:
-----------------------------------
I'm assuming that this problem occurs when you are using s:validateAll? I can't
quite see how this happens - we pick out EditableValueHolders, which must have getters and
setters for value (which means that the value attribute is used). Can you give me an
example?
ModelValidator throws exception when applied to component with no
value

Key: JBSEAM-1169
URL:
http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBSEAM-1169
Project: JBoss Seam
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Core
Affects Versions: 1.1.6.GA
Environment: Any
Reporter: Mike Quilleash
Assigned To: Pete Muir
There are some (albeit very unusual) cases where a UIInput component does not have a
value="#{.....}" binding. The ModelValidator throws a RuntimeException in this
case. Should just silently not validate if the valueBinding is not present.
