Just noted JBSEAM-2165 which also has been closed/fixed for 2.0.1.GA. It is related to
this issue in the sense that most postings on the forum is about "double calls to
authencticate at rejected logins". Still ... a clarification i the reference manual
might be helpful.
Documentation on how authenticate method might be used by seam.

The fact that authenticate might be called more than one time
by seam (and hence ought to be side-effect-free) would be good
to have in the documentation. There are some postings in the
forums about observed strange behavior due to programmers
not being aware of this.
