December 2014 - aerogear-dev - Jboss List Archives

by Bruno Oliveira

Good morning my friends, I would like to ask you a favor if possible. Include a section "requirements" in each guide on AeroGear. Why why why? Some things are not very obvious to newcomers from other technologies, like me. So at least the minimum about what must be configured/instaled/dependencies would be super nice. Thanks in advance. -- abstractj PGP: 0x84DC9914

AeroGear notifications

by Danijel Kecman

Hi, I have a test env where my AeroGear is hosted at OpenShift. Suddenly I am not receiving any notifications, neither on my Android nor my iOS devices. I did not change anything in the code that could cause this. AeroGear on OpenShift responds properly. My .NET and Java code that does the calls to the AeroGear REST responds with success. Does anyone have similar experience? Thanks, Danijel

UnifiedPush Server: updates on roadmap and future versions

by Matthias Wessendorf

Hi team, due to an issue with migration of Keycloak and our own models, the 1.0.3 release (see [1]) is delayed and will not happen in 2014. It's planed to have the release out in mid (late?) January 2015. Note: the 1.0.3 release will be (most-likely) the last release on the 1.0.x series :-) In 2015 the focus, for the Unified Push Server, will be on the 1.1.0 release. A first alpha, supporting Windows Phone, has been released already (see [2]). In addition I have also updated our roadmap, see [3]. Any thoughts or feedback is more than welcome! Greetings, Matthias [1] https://issues.jboss.org/browse/AGPUSH/fixforversion/12325082 [2] https://aerogear.org/news/2014/12/03/aerogear-unified-push-alpha1-is-out/... Diff Sync POC, Again

by Lucas Holmquist

I decided to implement the current Diff Sync POC that we have, https://github.com/aerogear/aerogear-sync-server/tree/master/js-client <https://github.com/aerogear/aerogear-sync-server/tree/master/js-client> , using Ember and the ember-cli here it is: https://github.com/lholmquist/diff-sync-demo <https://github.com/lholmquist/diff-sync-demo> don’t forget that you will also need to run the diff-sync server for it to work, https://github.com/aerogear/aerogear-sync-server <https://github.com/aerogear/aerogear-sync-server> it’s pretty cool how much less code there is

Travis-ci and CloudBees problems on Android land

by Daniel Passos

Hi All, The Android team has been working on resolving a travis build issue last week (and part of weekend) with travis-ci[1][2]. I has been testing with proting the build to cloudbees[3][4]. travis-ci: In Travis the VM is running out of memory and getting killed. We fixed this by starting the emulator after compiling and I was able to make it pass 2 times[5][6], but when a PR[7] for AG was sent, we were back to the old problem[8] (travis-ci killed our build, because it's using a lot of memory) CloudBees: We are having trouble running the emulator[9] on CloudBees ([android] Emulator did not appear to start; giving up). We found a fix[10] but are not sure if we can apply it on CloudBees [1] https://travis-ci.org/danielpassos/aerogear-android-security/builds [2] https://travis-ci.org/secondsun/aerogear-android-security/builds [3] https://aerogear.ci.cloudbees.com/job/aerogear-android-security [4] https://aerogear.ci.cloudbees.com/job/aerogear-android-pipe [5] https://travis-ci.org/danielpassos/aerogear-android-security/builds/43219446 [6] https://travis-ci.org/danielpassos/aerogear-android-security/builds/43256877 [7] https://github.com/aerogear/aerogear-android-security/pull/17 [8] https://travis-ci.org/aerogear/aerogear-android-security/builds/43295194 [9] https://aerogear.ci.cloudbees.com/job/aerogear-android-pipe/6/jdk=openjdk... Good morning, I updated the security roadmap with some ideas which I have in mind to be developed on the next year. Santa will be busy next year, so be ready to prioritize your wishlist. https://github.com/aerogear/aerogear.org/pull/440 Please comment on that PR with what are your top priorites for security on the next year. More ideas are always welcome, but let's prioritize. -- abstractj PGP: 0x84DC9914

Website color options

by Andres Galante

Hi! I've done some color testing: http://andresgalante.com/aerogearwebsite/colortest.html I have my favorite but it doesn't matter what I think, this website should appeal to developers. What do you think?
