it is slated to be on Oct 20-21, 2012 at the Google HQ, Mountain
View, California.
Before you start packing, here are the challenges:
* They are officially allowing just 2 delegates (either mentors or org
admins) per organization.
* JBoss Community will have to book travel for the delegates.
After the GSOC program has ended, JBoss community has to send invoice to
GSOC for reimbursement.
So as you see, it is not as easy as just choosing who is going. There is
a need to look at country of residence of the mentor, deal with visa
issues, book travel (get travel budget approved at JBoss community)
amidst all the logistical headaches.
To facilitate reimbursement, JBoss community is registered in the Google
payment system.
Here is what you need to tell me (in personal email):
a) Why you should be the choice? (Give me some blog posts you have
written about your gsoc work).
b) Country of residence (where are you currently residing?).
c) Any travel issues (visas needed to the US etc).
At the end of the day, it is just two slots.
