You have a typo in your xmlns - should be
urn:infinispan:config:store:soft-index:7.1
(you were missing the store part) - this was missing in 7.0 (for
symmetry with other stores) so it was added for 7.1 but documentation
was not updated.
Btw., Gustavo has mentioned that he was disappointed with the
performance of store boot; the whole index is dropped and rebuilt again
(by design). Therefore, I am afraid that if you want to use it in order
to speed up the boot, it won't work without further fixes (boot time was
not considered when I was designing it, the focus was on operation
throughput).
