yeah, that would be nice but it might make the configuration a
bit hard to explain.
I also don't expect people in general to use more than one backup, or 2 at most, so
not having a default would't require a lot of duplication.
We should also have reasonable values for the default – maybe use the
values for the existing stateTransfer element?
I was actually thinking to make them
slightly bigger (e.g. 2x) as the latency between sites is much higher than local.
