JBM detects it as a deadlock and tries it again. It works the second time. This seems to be a race condition between the entries put in the JBM_MSG_REF and the JBM_MSG tables. The entry must be fully in the JBM_MSG before the entry can be put in the JBM_MSG_REF table due to the FK constraint on MESSAGE_ID. I also saw another customer with the same problem just after the 1.4.0 CR1 release post the same in the forums...
