Martin Schvarcbacher created WFCORE-1673:
--------------------------------------------
Summary: Testsuite: tests for CLI controller aliases
Key: WFCORE-1673
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/WFCORE-1673
Project: WildFly Core
Issue Type: Task
Components: Test Suite
Reporter: Martin Schvarcbacher
Assignee: Martin Schvarcbacher
Priority: Minor
Added integration tests for server aliases defined in jboss-cli.xml
Usage in bin/jboss-cli.xml:
{code:xml}
<controllers>
<controller name="ServerOne">
<protocol>http-remoting</protocol>
<host>localhost</host>
<port>9990</port>
</controller>
</controllers>
{code}
./jboss-cli.sh --controller=ServerOne --connect

> After tracing using the trace log, we found the time difference between a "Lock all keys" log statement and the "Release locks for keys" log statement takes for about 15~20 seconds, so if another concurrent request would like to lock the same key within that interval, it will result in the timeout exception, example as below:

> In general, it synchronized XXX key {color:red}2{color} times, YYY key {color:red}2272{color} times, ZZZ key {color:red}3{color} times!!!
> The root cause should be this line: https://github.com/wildfly/wildfly/blob/10.0.0.Final/clustering/web/infin... where a new CacheEntryMutator.mutate() will trigger a new PutKeyValueCommand. For consecutive get call on the same session key, it will trigger the PutKeyValueCommand multiple times, but that is not necessary for transactional/ batched cache in general as the MarshalledValue is lazily serialized, the actual value is pointing to the same instance.
> Attached the suggested change, which solved our issue. Basically use a Set to track the mutated attribute names, to ensure the command is only issued once. Tested on non-transactional, batched cache (non-transactional, non-batch cache may not work as I did not think about that...)

[JBoss JIRA] (JGRP-2067) Protocol: add down(Message) and up(Message)
by Bela Ban (JIRA)
[ https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JGRP-2067?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.... ]

> Oftentime we have code like this, e.g. in a protocol:
> {code:java}
> void send(Message msg) {
> ...
> down_prot.down(new Event(Event.MSG, msg));
> }
> {code}
> Most protocols deal mainly with {{Message}} types, so adding {{down(Message msg)}} and {{up(Message msg)}} would simplify the code above to:
> {code:java}
> void send(Message msg) {
> ...
> down_prot.down(msg);
> }
> {code}
> This would also lead to a (massive) reduction of {{Event}} class creations.
> Downside: this requires a lot of code changes (mainly in protocols)!

[JBoss JIRA] (DROOLS-355) Do not import com.sun.tools.xjc in drools-core and drools-compiler to fix drools on Karaff/Fuse and/or Java 9

> By importing com.sun.tools.xjc, 3 problems arise:
> * OSGi and Karaf trip over it.
> {code}
> [WARNING] No export found to match com.sun.tools.xjc (imported by mvn:org.drools/drools-core/6.0.0.Final)

> * JDK 9 will break any java app that uses com.sun.* classes. See Mark Reinhold's Jigsaw presentation at devoxxBE 2013.
> * IBM JDK's etc don't have com.sun.* classes. Why don't they trip over this?
> Why do we have those imports in the first place? Looks like code for old JAXB code - which is hopefully stale now.
