I'm still seeing some exception like
Caused by: org.jboss.cache.optimistic.DataVersioningException: Real node for
/tms_ear,tms_sessions_jar,tms/com/soteica/tms/core/entities/model/MaterialEntity is null,
and this wasn't newly created in this tx!

That should not be occurring, MaterialEntity is not being deleted, created or modified
