Resolution: Done
Race condition when committing session when listener delivery is
occurring
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: JBMESSAGING-1253
URL:
http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBMESSAGING-1253
Project: JBoss Messaging
Issue Type: Bug
Affects Versions: 1.4.1.beta1, 1.4.0.SP3_CP01
Reporter: Clebert Suconic
Assigned To: Tim Fox
Fix For: 1.4.0.SP3.CP02, 1.4.1.beta2
/ You open a Transacted Session
Session sessionA = ..... ;
// You create a Producer on SessionA
MessageProducer producerA = .....;
// You create a Consumer (with a messageListener on SessionA)
MessageConsumer consumerA = ....
setMessageListener(....);
producerA.sendMessage(....);
sesssionA.commit();
// consumerA will process the message
// consumerA will call sessionA.commit();
- The problem here is: The message is arriving during sessionA.commit(); (after commit
was called, before commit was completed)
- By the time sessionA.commit is finished, a new transaction will be opened.
- The message arrived on the old completed transaction, hence the message will never be
acked.
