This leads to an incomplete metadata view (through JBossMetaData.getInterceptors()). We need to implement a mechanism which would allow for processing of annotations on interceptor classes. Furthermore, it should be possible to properly merge the xml based interceptor configuration (in ejb-jar.xml) with the InterceptorsMetadata created out of annotation processing.
