ClusteredCacheLoader.getChildrenNames() returns a null if it cannot connect to the
cluster
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: JBCACHE-1360
URL:
http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBCACHE-1360
Project: JBoss Cache
Issue Type: Bug
Security Level: Public (Everyone can see)
Components: Cache loaders
Affects Versions: 2.1.1.GA
Reporter: Manik Surtani
Assigned To: Manik Surtani
Fix For: 2.2.0.GA
This is a pretty nasty problem, since according to the CacheLoader interface contract,
getChildrenNames() returning null is a VALID response meaning that there are no children
for the node in question, causing the CacheLoaderInterceptor to remove all children on the
node.
The CCL should actually throw an exception of it cannot connect to the cluster - or if the
cluster is empty - and hence cannot know the result of getChildrenNames().
