Do these exact steps: # add {{JBOSS_MODULES_SYSTEM_PKGS="org.jboss.logmanager"}} to the beginning of standalone.conf # add {{-Djava.util.logging.manager=org.jboss.logmanager.LogManager}} to JAVA_OPTS at the end of standalone.conf # add {{-Xbootclasspath/p:$JBOSS_HOME/modules/org/jboss/logmanager/main/jboss-logmanager-1.3.1.Final.jar}} to JAVA_OPTS at the end of standalone.conf (make sure the JAR name and path matches your installation) This should get you at least 95% of the way there.
