[JBoss Seam] - view-handler disabled when using Ajax4JSF ?

Seam-gen in faces-config.xml now has a comment  |  Glad there is a comment, but the missing view-handler confuses. I thought the view-handler was necessary? What is the causality? And if it isn't there, is it now somewhere else? In seam reference is reads: anonymous wrote : "to make use of the security EL functions, SeamFaceletViewHandler must be used" In seam reference is also reads to use facelets (cannot live without its templating) and to use Seam expression language enhancement (which I don't think I need) you need <view-handler>org.jboss.seam.ui.facelet.SeamFaceletViewHandler</view-handler>. [JBoss Seam] - Injection intermittent problem on the example 'message'

Hello, I modified the code in the example 'messages' bundled with Seam. I injected a (session) UserAccount to the class MessageManagerBean and modified the findMessages to include a where clause in the query. It worked like a champ and all corresponding messages belong to this user were found and displayed correctly. However when I clicked on any of the messages, I got an injection error: SEVERE: org.jboss.seam.RequiredException: In attribute requires non-null value: messageManager.userAccount This userAccount was injected correctly for the findMessages to work. So why couldn't Seam find it now? Any idea on what might have caused this problem? It turned out that the @Id @GeneratedValue(strategy=GenerationType.AUTO) worked just fine. The problem with my code was that I had a constructor that takes in the message. In order for the id to be generated by the Persistent layer, I needed to construct the object using the default constructor and then used the setter to set the message attribute. Thanks for the help. I just remembered something... What I (once) did was create one kind of 'I'm-doing-something-out-of-the ordinary' node. That node had an actionhandler on node-enter that logged something AND looked at a process variable to see what node to go to next. [JBoss Seam] - explicit conversation id issue

Hi all, I am trying to begin a conversation with an explicit id sent as a HTTP request param. In my conversation-scoped bean, i have the following code: | @RequestParameter | private String conversationId; | | @Begin(id="#{conversationId}",join=true) @Create | public String findSessions() { | ... | } | When I debugged, it seems that the conversationId was injected. However, my conversation was started with an empty conversationId. Does any of you know why? What should I do to fix this? If I start the conversation through Java code, how can I assign it an explicit Id?
