[Clustering/JBoss] - 2 instances/machine; redhat init script

I have looked at $JBOSS_HOME/bin/jboss_init_redhat.sh. This seems inadequate if one wants to have 2 JBoss instances/machine... It can easily be copied/hacked to run $JBOSS_HOME/bin/run.sh -c config for each separate instance. BUT I can't see how the code for stop/status can relate to WHICH instance to stop/report status on. Is this a bug/need for enhancement? Has there anyone out there who has solved this and is willing to contribute their solution? I have a REALLY BAD/hacky solution (can't post now...code is at work, I'm at home) I use twiddle.sh/probe.sh. I probably could use something like kill `ps axw | grep config | cut ...` for 'stop' but not for 'status'... This applies to 4.0.5GA and 4.2...., as far as I can see. Thoughts/comments/suggestions gratefully accepted. If you are looking for a small eclipse plugin give http://andrei.gmxhome.de/filesync/index.html a try. It can keep every folder inside of your workspace in sync with some other folder somewhere else. Downside is that you have to manually restart the AS (touch application.xml) if you change EJBs,... but for html & JSF pages it works fine for me! [JBoss Seam] - Entity Property Not Up-To-Date

It looks like a hibernate related topic, but I encountered it when developing using Seam and easy to describe with it. So I'd like to put it on here first. I have two SFSB, say A and B, both have an extended EntityManager em. A retrieves a list of entity Invoice. B retrieve a list of entity InvoiceMail. InvoiceMail has a property invoice that can navigate to Invoice by many-to-one. First a list of invoice is retrieved. If any invoices are in "To Post" status, then the list of InvoiceMail is retrieved. There is a button say "Already Sent" beside an InvoiceMail, for any invoices have already been posted, click the button and navigate to the invoice and update its status to "Sent" with a method at SFSB B. The problem is that when the query to retrieve Invoice at SFSB A is executed again, the invoices are still in "To Post" status. Now we temporary solve it by using em.clear() at SFSB A before executing the query. It seems that the Invoices were cached but not updated accordingly within the same session. We hope the invoices either cached and updated to the latest status or not cached at all. How to work around this? We are on jboss-4.0.5.GA and jboss-sean-1.1.0.GA. Max, The current seam-gen behaviour is unchanged and acts exactly the same way as before. The hack provides the following improvement: 1. Every seam project gets its own build.properties (currently stored in user home, can be changed to project itself) Why is this useful? As said in the google discussion group, now seam-gen can be stored in a shared server environment and all users can work with their own project without any conflicts. The command line switch "-Dproject.name" comes into play only when you want to run a particular project and the not the last project that seam-gen was configured for. afaik the only reason the settings are stored in seam-gen is so seam can be called easily without arguments. I could imagine storing the "project location" in ${user.home}/.seam-gen and keep all project info in the actual project instead of in seam-gen directory. And then have a seam switch command to toggle the current project. A further improvement can be to store the project specific seam build.properties in the respective project itself. currently we are storing it in the user home directory which is fine, but keeping the seam project build.properties in the project makes more sense. than I don't understand the behaviour here. If I call the pdf's URl fist thing after server startup, i.e. e new session, I get the above error. If I first call a page, that uses a conversational component, I can afterwards call the pdf and get it. Maybe, if you find some time, you could document more on how to use the DocumentStore and explain the runtime situation, so one can more understand what exactly is going on. Besides that - using iText in seam is damn easy and a joy to work with. btw. anyone that can tell me how to detect autogenerated keys on the database they use via propritary sql or standard jdbc metadata is very welcome to tell me ;) Only requirement is that it is accessible through a jdbc connection.
