The 1.4.1.SP3 GenericTransactionManagerLookup doesn't know how to find Glassfish's TM. In 2.0 it does, but that doesn't help you. Suggest you write your own TransactionManagerLookup implementation and use that. Often it is used to have your specialised configuration. E.g. you copy the default configuration to a "myproject" configuration and can modify that while still having the default for reference. If you are working with branches you might want to have a separate configuration for a branch as well, perhaps only for different files in deploy/. It only adds to the flexibility. Just don't start a configuration twice at the same machine at the same time. indeed that was my ' backup ' solution. i have a problem though with some pages where navigation ?has? to be controlled from the pages.xml the following example to illustrate <page view-id="/login.xhtml"> | <navigation from-action="#{identity.login}"> | <rule if="#{identity.loggedIn}"> | <redirect view-id="/home.xhtml"/> | </rule> | </navigation> | </page> here, the identity.login build in SEAM action triggers a method with the following signature : public boolean authenticate() { } --> there is no way (as far as i know) to return a page id in this case ????? [Beginners Corner] - jars required for deploying application in JEE 5 servers

I have downloaded some examples for ajax4jsf from the jboss ajax4jsf site and when i deploy the application it gives me some errors in Jboss. Somebody told me that the apps on the site were for J2EE servers like Tomcat. It seems that there is a deifference in the number of jar files and some configuration differences if i want to deploy the application in a JEE 5 server like JBoss 4.2. Could someone please tell me what these differences are? facelets support for NetBeans is still immature (0.5) and there seems to be no new action since March. If you look for Netbeans-Seam integration, there is only Seam-Gen module written for Netbeans. Both of them are developed by the same person and on the same page: https://nbfaceletssupport.dev.java.net/ I doubt this could be called as "Seam support in NB" as this is only support for seam-gen. [JBossCache] - jboss cache + glassfish - problem using GenericTransactionMa

I'm using glassfish Application Server 9.0_01 (build b02-p01) and jboss cache 1.4.1.SP3 Cayenne, with OPTIMISTIC node locking scheme. Here is part of the configuration file: jboss:service=Naming jboss:service=TransactionManager org.jboss.cache.GenericTransactionManagerLookup OPTIMISTIC ..... ..... At startup no transaction manager is found and it falls back to the dummy transaction manager. Here's the log: 2007-06-28 14:44:54,835 INFO [org.jboss.cache.GenericTransactionManagerLookup] (main) Failed to perform a lookup for [java:/TransactionManager (JBoss, JRun4)] 2007-06-28 14:44:54,836 INFO [org.jboss.cache.GenericTransactionManagerLookup] (main) Failed to perform a lookup for [javax.transaction.TransactionManager (BEA WebLogic)] 2007-06-28 14:44:54,839 INFO [org.jboss.cache.GenericTransactionManagerLookup] (main) Couldn't find any WebSphere TransactionManager factory class, neither for WebSphere version 5.1 nor 5.0 nor 4 2007-06-28 14:44:54,846 WARN [org.jboss.cache.GenericTransactionManagerLookup] (main) Falling back to DummyTransactionManager from JBossCache .... ....
