I have a problem in the installation of Drools; I have a file ?security.drl? which contains the following rule: | rule RestrictAccess | when | check: PermissionCheck(name == "/home.xhtml", action == "render", granted == false) | Role(name == "user") | then | check.grant(); | end; | My file ?component.xml? contains: | <drools:rule-base name="securityRules" rule-files="/security.drl" /> | <drools:managed-working-memory name="workingMemory" rule-base="#{securityRules}" /> | But the rule is not activated. [JBoss Seam] - Save conversation state in client

I would like one conversation per open browser window. If the user opens a link in a new tab, i would like the new tab run in a new conversation, and the old tab to continue running in the old conversation. I believe that this could be achieved by saving the conversation state in the client, but is this sufficient? I have tried this by setting the appropriate parameter in components.xml on the init component, but it seems to me that the state is still stored on the server side. Are there any other ways of achieving the functionality i am after? Could i save some conversation id in the page context and manually assign a conversation to a browser window? any suggestions would be appreciated. If you want Hibernate and JBC to properly participate in the same transaction, then yeah, you're going to need to use a JTA transaction manager and configure Tomcat and Hibernate to use it. JOTM is one possibility; have a look as well at the JBoss Transactions user forum as well in case they can give you any help on integrating it in standalone Tomcat. Hi.., I want to redirect the console messages to the server.log. Where & What changes do I have to do to the config file(s) ? The app will be run as a service on the linux machine & would be restarted automatically. [JBoss Seam] - IPC with SEAM

Hi all, I'm new to SEAM and JAVA EE, so please don't hurt me! ;p I need to connect my SEAM-Application to a second JAVA App. The typical way would be the use of RMI or Sockets as far as I know. Is it possible to integrate those API's in a SEAM-Component, maybe a typical Session Bean? Or is there another, better way to realize it? I'm glad about every response (and any example code snippet). [JBossCache] - JBossCache Tomcat Spring

Hello, I'm trying to run Jbosscache on my application using Tomcat 5.5, Hibernate 3.2 and Spring 2.0 . But I'm facing some problems since I don't know how to configure it. I have seen it could work but as JBosscache requires JTA, do I have to use JOTM or something else to use JTA in Tomcat? Actually I use org.springframework.orm.hibernate3.HibernateTransactionManager to deal with Transactions in my application. I suppose, I have to use now org.springframework.transaction.jta.JtaTransactionManager but it requires either 'userTransaction' or 'userTransactionName' or 'transactionManager' or 'transactionManagerName' to work. Does anyone has use jbosscache with tomcat and Spring? Do I have to configure hibernate.transaction.factory_class and hibernate.transaction.manager_lookup_class in my mapping file?
