[Beginners Corner] - Starting JBoss server independently

Hi all, I have a JBoss 4.2.2 version installed on HP Unix platform at a remote server. Each time I need to start it, I connect through telnet to that machine and then run the command : ./run.sh - b 0.0.0.0 But then I can't close that window because the server is still on it. I had Sun One server earlier, each time I had to run it, I used to give a command and then it runs in the background and I can close that telnet connection. How do I start JBoss similarly ? I mean, I need to log off my machine each day, and I can't restart it daily. Any special command for that ? Thanks for the help. spezam, So far I could not find any solution for this error. But, for a great surprise, I could cluster some other sample applications successfully. Hi all, I have found the place where I can change the hostname. After the server is started, from the JMX console, go to the MBean view : MBean Name: Domain Name: jboss.ws service: ServerConfig In this MBean, we have the MBean attribute : WebServiceHost whose value can be changed. However, I find that even though we change the file, the changes will be lost once we restart the server. Can this MBean properties be included in the jboss-service.xml so that I need not change this setting each time ? I need a way to make this change permanent, I mean, it shouldn't disapper each time I restart the server. [JNDI/Naming/Network] - Problem with Migration from Tomcat to JBoss

I have a project which currently runs on Tomcat 5.5.17 and needs to be deployed on JBoss AS 4.2.2.GA. I would like to have a simple config file outside the application that isn't affected by a redeployment of the application.
